Video From the CrossFit Journal (free):

Gary Taubes, science writer and author of the book Why We Get Fat: And What to Do About It, recently spoke at a CrossFit seminar in which he exposed the myths behind the medical and health industry’s current-day thinking surrounding the obesity epidemic.  Gary demonstrated time and again that the medical and health industry’s assertion that inactivity coupled with overeating is the root of the obesity epidemic is completely false.  Simply put, Gary’s message to us is that eating carbohydrates causes an increase of the hormone insulin.  Insulin is the hormone responsible for fat storage.
