The 2013 CrossFit Open starts on March 6th.   Welcome to the 2013 Season

You don’t want to miss this. You are a CrossFiter and this is what we do.

Make sure that when you register, you click on “Join an Affiliate” and select CrossFit Roseville from the list.

Registration is now live. Whether you are the Fittest on Earth or it’s your first time competing in CrossFit, welcome to the 2013 Reebok CrossFit Games Open!

The Open will put competitors through five workouts over five weeks, starting March 6 and ending April 7. All members of CrossFit Roseville are expected to participate. You will not regret it. Ask anyone who did it last year. It will test you, challenge you, and it will be rewarding. And it will be the workout of the day anyway so you might as well do it. Plus, over 20,000 CrossFit’ers around the world will be doing this.

You do the workout, you submit your score, and you see how you stack up against yourself, people in your region, age group, and/or the world. We expect the workout to complete the workout on Saturdays (Fridays or Thursdays for those that can’t make Saturday).

The first workout will be released at 5 p.m. Pacific Time on Wednesday, March 6. To be in the running for Regional or Masters Competition, you must register, complete the first workout, and submit your score by 5 p.m. Pacific Time on Sunday, March 10.

The workouts are typically doable by all, at least the first parts of the workouts are, because the whole CrossFit world (of which you are a part) is doing them.

If you registered for the 2012 Reebok CrossFit Games Open, CrossFit for Hope, or the Online Judges Course, DO NOT create a new account. Use last year’s username and password, and you’ll be led through the Open registration process. This way last year’s results will be linked to this year’s. You’ll be able to compare times, lifts, and benchmarks. Send any questions to

It’s on! Get registered and ramp up the training. Fewer than four weeks remain until the first workout is announced.

    1. Justin, I was thinking of going in the morning Monday, but only saw the 6am class for this week. Are you not having the 7, 8, and 9 am classes?

  1. Done! Now to start two-a-days! 😉 But seriously, I can’t wait to see how we stack up to everyone else. This will be inspiring to say the least.

    1. Oh my gosh I’m in love with this video!!

“I have THEE fastest time ever coming down a rope”
      “What’s your technique?”
      “I let go”

      Love it!

    1. I wasn’t going to watch this video but thanks to Kenny’s comment I figured I better check it out. Was actually very useful. Figured out how to do kipping handstand push ups this morning from remembering the tips in this video and by getting stuck upside with my head on the floor and having to do something. I wish my arms looked like hers too!!!

      1. Ha! Mark, Kenny was referring to one of the videos in the original post. I believe it is the second one, the guy with the blue shirt/Hawaii.

  2. Garage has been rearranged to make room for Crossfit Washburn. So far on the plans are squat rack/pull up area.200lb heavy bag, speed bag and box jump.

    1. Wow intense videos!!! Getting it hype! ….all except the fact that I can’t lift my hand to my face after todays workout…but who needs that!

  3. Don’t let the WOD keep you away from the box! I’m not very good at double unders or handstand push ups…That ain’t gonna change from the couch! We in it together! Hope I see you there..
