Where are you from?
I’m Originally from Fresno, Ca. I migrated north, from the ArmPit of California, in 2007.

How long have you been CrossFitting?
I’m a recent convert to Crossfit and the Crossfit Roseville fold. I experienced my first workout February 11, 2013.

What is your favorite workout?
My first workout, by far, is my favorite. Although I don’t recall a name for this workout, or all of its components, it is the one that has brought change to my life.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
As my thrill seeking children are getting older, I enjoy spending quality time with the dynamic duo at any one of California’s amusement parks, and of course, crossfit!

What is one of your best/favorite goals you have accomplished since you started CrossFit?

After feeling shame and  embarrassment from an inability to complete a 400m run, I set a goal to run a mile and loose 50 lbs within 6 months. little did I know, with the help of crossfit and the motivation from the coaches and athletes, I would be running 1.5 unbroken miles within 3 months. My goal has been modified, and I expect to run 3 unbroken miles by August 11, 2013; exactly 6 months from my start date.  Although Ive only lost 21 lbs, I am well on my way to accomplishing my weight loss goals.

Anything you would like to add?
As I’ve become more comfortable with my physical abilities, Ive begun visiting other boxes. Although I get a good workout in, there is no place like home; No one says “Oh Yeah” or “Get it Dave” like Jesse. The coaches and athletes at Crossfit Roseville are like no others. Every day I can expect a high five from Justin,  a “where were you yesterday” , or a ” I haven’t seen you in a while” from anyone one of the many members. I received inspiration and encouragement from every member of our Box.
