Some of you may be inteterested in this – On Wednesday night, the creators of the Endeavor Team Challenge will be at CrossFit Roseville to make a presentation and answer questions from anyone interested in this event from 7:00-8:00 PM. Please RSVP by posting in comments. If no one RSVP’s, I’m going to tell them not to come.

Journey into the Sierras with your teammate to compete in our inaugural event. Your backdrop will be some of the most beautiful and untamed wilderness in America. Be one of the first to take on and finish the challenge. All finishers will receive a specially minted coin and a certificate naming them plankowners of the Endeavor Team Challenge.
- 30+ hours
- Over 40 miles of terrain with massive elevation changes
- Specially designed obstacle and mountaineering courses
- Mountaineering, rappelling, canoeing/kayaking, orienteering, physical challenges, mental challenges
What is provided: We provide equipment and support in order to ensure that the event is accessible to a wide range of skill levels. Some examples are listed below:
- Food (MREs) and water
- Rock climbing equipment and instructors
- Competitor handbooks and maps
- Finisher coins and awards
- Spot 2 GPS trackers for all teams (with web URL so your friends/family can track your progress)
- Marked course and orienteering areas
- Custom designed obstacles and teamwork reaction events

Normal Registration – $379
Late Registration (After August 1) – $479
Registration Closed – September 1
Discounts: some participants (military, law enforcement, first responders, family teams) are eligible for a discount.
Timeline of Events:
Saturday Morning – The Crucible Footmarch/Late Competitor Check-in:
6:00 AM Start: 15-20+ miles (undisclosed distance), carrying all of your supplies for the event including food and water (water resupply is provided throughout the event); move on foot, summit mountains, and cross streams and lakes to arrive at Competitor Field where you will be officially welcomed to the event. Terrain Fly Over of the Crucible Footmarch. For competitors arriving after midnight on Friday, late check-in will be available Saturday morning at 4:00 AM.
Saturday Afternoon – Competitor Field:
11:00 AM Start (approximate): Invite your friends and family to Competitor Field to watch your team compete in grueling physical and mental challenges, obstacle courses (land and water), rock-climbing, and rappelling.
Saturday Night – Night Orienteering / Navigation:
8:00 PM Start (approximate): Venture into the forest with a map and compass. Navigate to multiple locations to finish. If you move fast, you may have enough time for some sleep.
Sunday morning – The Lone Survivors Run:
5:00 AM Start: The final event, a 10+ mile (undisclosed distance) run. Run to the finish line and encounter a few harrowing obstacles along the way – including swimming, paddling across an alpine reservoir, and a rappel with spectacular views of the Stanislaus National Forest.
Bonus Event: OPT Challenge
At an undisclosed time and location Teams will compete in an event programmed by James “OPT” Fitzgerald (Crossfit Games Champion in 2007). Read more about the details of the OPT Challenge.
This event tests Competitors’ ability to train for and perform a known physical challenge. It provides some balance to the intentional ambiguity of the other events.
