32 Tips to Improve Your Health and Fitness
Tip #1. Identity
To improve our health & fitness we must adopt the identity of a person who prioritizes their health and fitness.
Instead of thinking: “Do I want to goto the gym?”, or “Do I want to stay home?”, ask yourself, “What would a healthy person do?” and go do that. Instead of thinking “What do I want to order from the menu?”, or “What sounds good to eat?”, ask yourself, “what would a healthy person order?” and order that.
How does a healthy person schedule their day, what is their morning routine, their bedtime routine? How often are they working out, what types of movements are they doing? What does a healthy person do to manage stress? What does a healthy person eat for breakfast, for snacks, for a late night treat? etc.
Our identity is everything we believe ourselves to be, that influences everything we think and everything we do. Each micro decision we make is a vote for the person we want to become.
Our thoughts become our actions, our repeated actions become our systems and habits, our systems and habits allow us to live into our desired future self.
To Do Today: as you begin to prioritize your day, filter your actions by asking “What would a healthy person do?” And do that.
